Real Madrid, the reigning European champions, have reached their third consecutive Champions League final after a thrilling 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

The first leg of the semi-final, which was played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, saw Bayern take an early lead through Arturo Vidal.

However, Real Madrid fought back and equalized through Karim Benzema in the 11th minute.

Bayern took the lead again in the 26th minute, thanks to a stunning free-kick from James Rodriguez.

But Real Madrid refused to be beaten, and levelled the scores once more through Sergio Ramos in the 47th minute.

The aggregate score over the two legs was 4-3 in favor of Real Madrid, who will now face Chelsea in the final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 3 June.
